How Far Parq Sits From Surrey

Parq sits at 39 Smithe Street in Vancouver. Of the nine Metro Vancouver casinos on this guide, it is the farthest from Surrey City Centre, at 21.4 km. Whalley is the closest Surrey town centre, 21.6 km away. Guildford comes in at 24.7 km, and South Surrey sits out at 35.3 km.

These are straight lines on a map, not road distances, so your actual trip runs longer. Elements Casino, Surrey's own room, is in Cloverdale, which is 33.9 km from Parq as the crow flies. What Parq offers for the extra distance: a casino open 24/7, a poker room open 24/7, two hotels and two SkyTrain stations within about 850 m. Parking is paid, pay-by-plate, unless you hold an Encore Rewards card with at least 15 points.

Inside the Room at Parq

Parq's casino never closes, so you can arrive whenever you like, day and night, all week. Slots, roulette, blackjack and baccarat share the floor with electronic touch machines and Stadium Gaming. You won't find slot or table numbers here, since Parq does not make those counts public. Elements, by contrast, offers 10 live tables and over 500 slots plus electronic table games.

Poker sets the two rooms apart. On Level 3, Parq keeps a poker room going around the clock, but gives no table count. Back in Cloverdale, Elements has none to compare.

Beyond the casino floor, Parq has two hotels, the JW Marriott and The Douglas. For food or drink, the list runs from Honey Salt and The Victor to D/6 Lounge, KOI Noodle Bar and more. Encore Rewards is the loyalty card, and sign-up happens at Guest Services on Level 2.

Before You Leave Surrey

  • Check Parq's own page before you set out, even for a room that lists 24/7 hours.
  • Entry starts at 19, and government-issued photo ID comes with you. No matter how old a guest is, it gets shown on entry, and security scans it against the restricted list.
  • Self-parking is pay-by-plate, from $5 an hour before 5PM to $55 for 24 hours, and $25 to $35 on event days. By SkyTrain, Yaletown-Roundhouse Station is 800 m away, and Stadium-Chinatown Station 850 m.
  • Before any cards come out, settle who is driving home. Parq has two hotels if staying over suits you better.
